Cynthia Romero

Director of Campus Safety and Security, Joffe Emergency Services

As a Los Angeles native, Cynthia Romero has a wealth of experience in safety and security in many local contexts. Ms. Romero earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from California State University, Los Angeles, holds a certification as a CPR/First Aid/AED instructor with the American Red Cross, and is fluent in both English and Spanish. 

Her security experience started as a former LAPD Explorer/Cadet, instilling a passion for ensuring the well-being of others. The majority of her career has been with the Los Angeles Convention Center, where she played an integral role in managing security operations for high-profile events such as the Summit of the Americas, LA Auto Show, and Anime Expo, among others. 

Ms. Romero feels passionately about promoting safety and emergency preparedness within communities and is excited to bring her experience to the St. Matthew's community.
