Claire Marie
Trauma Informed Drills Author
Since 2015, Claire Marie has been leading efforts to support community and systems level trauma informed and resilience practices in Oregon through training, implementation, and evaluation. Her work spans across school emergency management, school safety & prevention systems, and law enforcement mental health and wellness. Working across different sectors to support collaboration, she helps to build more well-connected systems between schools and their community partners.
The goal of her work is to help the helpers, including school administrators, educators, support staff, and many others, through a strengths-based approach; recognizing and normalizing natural human responses and providing tools to move beyond reaction to response.
This requires both individuals and systems to recognize the symptoms of toxic stress and trauma, understand how to better foster healthy interactions, and how to support individual and systems-level wellbeing and empowerment.
